Who the terms apply to
The terms apply when a place, a business or a person uses Velkomst to take bookings (the customer). The guests who book at a place have an agreement with the place, not with Velkomst. Velkomst is the tool the place uses, and is not a party to the agreement between the place and the guest. Velkomst is operated by Godt Vedlikehold AS, org. no. 935 967 112 MVA.
The service
Velkomst is a booking system with a dashboard, a booking page, a calendar, receipts and payment from guests. We keep developing the service, and features may change. We aim for stable operation, but cannot promise that the service is always free of interruptions or errors.
Account and users
You must give correct information when you register, and keep your login private. The owner of the place is responsible for who has access, and for what the users of the place do in Velkomst. A user belongs to one place. You must be over 18 and have the right to act on behalf of the place.
Trial and price
You can try Velkomst free for 14 days without giving a card. After the trial you only pay if you start a subscription yourself. The prices are on the Pricing page and are stated excluding VAT. 25 % VAT is added at payment. The subscription is paid monthly in advance through Stripe. Offers and campaign prices apply as described in the offer. If we change your price, we will tell you by e-mail before the change takes effect.
Cancellation
There is no binding period. You can cancel the subscription whenever you like, and it runs to the end of the period you have paid for. We do not refund the rest of a paid period. We may suspend or end an account if you do not pay, break the terms or use the service in a way that harms others. When the account ends, the information is handled as the privacy policy describes.
Payment from guests
Card payments from guests go through Stripe. The place connects its own Stripe account to Velkomst, and the money goes directly to the place's account. Velkomst takes no commission on bookings and does not hold the money. Stripe deducts a fee per payment. The place must accept Stripe's own terms and is responsible for refunds, disputes, VAT, accounting and payouts from Stripe.
The place's responsibility towards guests
The place decides price, availability, cancellation rules and terms for its guests, and must follow applicable law, including consumer and privacy rules. The place is responsible for the information it enters being correct, and for keeping what it has promised its guests. For the guests' personal data, the place decides why the data is used. See the privacy policy.
Content and use
You own the content you add, such as texts, pictures and bookings. You give us the right to store and show it as far as needed to provide the service. You must not use Velkomst for anything unlawful, try to break into the system or put unnecessary load on it.
Liability
Velkomst is not liable for indirect loss, such as lost income or lost bookings, caused by errors or downtime. Our total liability to you is limited to what you have paid us in the last 12 months. The limit does not apply in case of intent or gross negligence, or where the law does not allow it.
Changes to the terms
We may change the terms. If a change is material, we will tell you by e-mail in good time before it takes effect. If you keep using the service after that, you accept the new terms. You can always cancel instead.
Law and disputes
The agreement is governed by Norwegian law. Disputes that are not settled amicably are handled by the Norwegian courts.
